AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence organization has praised security forces and and the Iranian people for successfully thwarting the recent anti-Iran plot hatched by the United States and the Israeli regime.
In a statement on Monday, the IRGC intelligence organization said that the unrest and terrorist acts in Iranian cities, earlier this month, were part of a grand US-Israeli plan to undermine Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
It noted that the conspiracies, however, were foiled thanks to the vigilance of the country's security forces and the support of the Iranian nation.
Announcing the defeat of the seditious plot, the statement noted that the enemy command room was formed with the participation of 10 hostile intelligence agencies immediately after the 12-day war in June last year, with the prime motive of creating internal chaos, inciting factionalism, and inviting foreign intervention to generate an existential threat for Iran.
According to the statement, the measures taken to combat the sedition include the arrest and summoning of 735 individuals linked with anti-security networks, the supervision and guidance of 11,000 vulnerable individuals, the discovery of 743 illegal weapons, and the identification of 46 elements associated with foreign spying services.
It further noted that the enemy's actions included the misuse of public gatherings through terrorists, direct support of foreign political and security officials for rioters and saboteurs, manipulating social media algorithms to incite violence, the use of thugs and organized criminals to kill citizens and security forces.
Stating that the efforts continue to identify and deal decisively with the terrorists, the IRGC intelligence organization said it tried to infiltrate the communication networks of the rioters, terrorists using tricked elements for reverse infiltration.
